Al Kamali delivers a lecture about Olympic Charter Today

The General Preparation Course for Olympic Team Managers and Coaches, organized by the National Olympic Academy at the Leadership Qualification Center, concludes today (Thursday) by two lectures. The first lecture will be delivered by Advisor Mohammed Al Kamali, Secretary General of the UAE National Olympic Committee, where he will review the "Olympic Charter," while Brigadier "R" Abdul Malik Jani, Head of the Academy will deliver a lecture on social preparation aspects. Following the lectures, recognition certificates will distributed to participants in the course, which was hugely attended by coaches and managers, who discussed the athletes’ preparations, and how to uplift their capabilities in a comprehensive and integrated manner. The first day lecture reviewed the psychological aspect, while yesterday’s lectures highlighted four factors of achieving sporting success and excellence, namely: technical, organizational, physiological and leadership factors. The German expert Wolfgang gave a lecturer on the technical aspect of sports, and how to ensure the best practices in this regard, besides making a great effort in line with the resources in hand, and harnessing them to realize the ultimate goal. Dr. Ramzi Al Tayeb delivered a detailed lecture on the physiological aspect and its importance in sports training. It is one of the key issues for those engaged in physical education and sports training, as they can identify the impact of physical training on athletes’ vital organs during competitions or training. Through these aspects the training load can be administered in accordance with the athlete’s physiological ability, so as to strengthen the positive aspects and rectify the negative ones. The lecturer also touched on the health issues which may lead to serious injuries if not detected early. Al Nasser Gharib reviewed sports organizations mechanism and events timetable; and listed the foundations that determine the initial steps before charting out an integrated plan that ensures optimal utilization of resources. Ahmed Ibrahim delivered a lecture on the leadership aspect, since management is crucial to realizing goals through objectives and strategies in place, besides setting an example for athletes to follow. Abdul Malik Jani, Head of the National Olympic Academy appreciated the efforts put by all lecturers in the first two days, which showed great success as evidenced by the interactive method with coaches and managers, and the great benefits achieved in the initial activities of the Academy, which exerts strenuous efforts in developing the sports sector in the long term. Jani expressed hope that the Academy would contribute to establishing channels of communication with coaches and managers through this course, besides receiving their feedback and strengthening work mechanisms in order to ensure success for all parties.
